For the beginners who wonder how fast you can learn wingfoiling, I've put last years footage in 1 15minute clip...(with a kitefoil, kitesurf and surfbackground ;-))From session 2 to session 43...

Ha ha....
My g/f was up and foiling her 1st day, dropping down on jibes but otherwise foiling.
My 1st day, a week later, resulted in 2 long paddles to get back to the launch.
1 year later, I'm almost worse..now 73.

LeeD, don't give up. I started 2 yrs ago when I was 73, now 75, and just getting consistent jybes.

The journey is worth it.

Find the gear that suits you is key. I am now happy with my Axis black series HPS and BSC foils and Fanatic 105 l board to help my weak knees for standing up.

PS How old/young is your GF?
