I was out today on the 1050 and it was gusting 15-20 knots. I'm 100kg and I was wearing a heavy wet suit. I had no problems getting up with a 6m wing. I'm guessing at your weight, you could use the 1050 at a lower wind range. It's a great foil in any case. If you are in fact going out in 20+, then maybe you need a smaller HPS or the ART 1099 or even 999.

My suggestion would be a HSP 980.

Much more user friendly than the ART wings but but faster and better glide than the BSC.

1050 is a great wing but I think you could go for a 980, faster and more fun to carve.

The 980 HPS is great fun in 20-25 knots in the ocean. I'm 90kg and have a great time DW on it. It has good low end too 15 knots easy in ocean. Very versatile wing, still carved well and enough glide and speed.

980 would be a good compliment to your 970, and good first step into the world of riding faster.

I have HPS 1050 & 980 (and PNG 910). I'm 86kg and use the 980 in anything over 15knots. It is faster in the lower wind range than the 910, with better 'fast' glide, but it is not as throwabout as the 910. I can use the 910 in less wind than the 980.

I use the HPS 1050 as my light wind foil (less than 15knots).

I would say for 20-25knots the BSC 970 is a big wing, you could easily go smaller / thinner.
