As for some of us the lakes or seas are simply frozen, its great to discover the versatility of the wing!

This is on lake Saadjarve in Estonia! Kids also loved to wing! Here with the oh-so-stable-and-powerful Takoon wing 6m2 (buddy of mine has Ensis 6.0 and still commented that the Takoon was impressively powerful :) ) and pair of cross country skis. I must say that I did like the handles of the Ensis a bit more though. Wind speed was 10-11 kts. Top speeds reached (without kids) was 29kph. Oh and temp was minus 8-ish degrees Celsius.

Keen to hear & see others' winter wing stories!!

Here a little edit of the latest outing! Super gusty, 25+ kts on a frozen lake. The 'helicopter' could still fly First time with harness line attached to the wing (I didn't tie it up very neatly)

Does anybody here in Oz know of any places this could be done? The only places I can think of is next to the carpark at Perisher or somewhere on the way to Adaminaby. Any suggestions?

Knatti. Looks nice. Reminds me of the ridge above the back bowls at Vail. Maybe we can get there next year!!! Covid gone.

Actually that spot would normaly be full with poeple, no room for my wing. But covid makes it possible.
Skiing will feel strange next season when I have to share a slope with others (tourists) :)

New member here, so I cant post my youtube link, but I managed to hit 34 mph on the ice with my 6m the other day. The snow had melted and the ice was soft, so my edges held pretty well. I was really surprised by how fast I could go with the drag from the huge leading edge on my wasp. In mushy snow with modest winds the wing doesnt work well, but with powder or ice and 20-30 kts, it's a hoot.
