Hey there!
I'm a Sydneysider that's been in the States wingfoiling for the past season there, and now back in Sydney/Central Coast and S for the summer and trying to hunt for good wingfoiling spots. Always been a surfer so hunting for wind is a bit counterintuitive! Curious if anyone has some beta for good spots/red flags etc. In NSW...
Balmoral looks OK depending on wind direction (launch looks a bit protected?)
Umina Beach in a S/SE wind (curious what's up with the sand bar there)
Narrabeen/Brownwater? (wondering how bad the reef is there for foiling)
Up on the Sunshine Coast in QLD it seems like Redcliffe and Golden Beach might be decent?
Appreciate any beta, I'm keeping my eyes out for wings in the water but they're few and far between in Sydney it seems!Cheers,
T
There are heaps of wings in Sydney! Manly (harbour side) in a Southerly (and can work in Westerly), Brown Water / Long Reef in a NE'r, Brown Water in a Southerly and head up wind to Makaha. Narra Lake gets busy in a NE'r and a Westerly (Longy also in West but is very offshore). Clontarf in a SSE, Balmoral in a NE. Up at Sandy Point in the Pittwater would be good in a West or Southerly....
Only red flags would be ferries/boats, the lake can be shallow in spots and the reef at brown water can be very shallow so stick to the middle and tack out until you get in to the open.
Enjoy.

Bens right mate we have a ton of spots that work, there is a whats app group that is helpful. PM me your mobile number and I can add you if your interested.
T Bird,
If you want flat water that will work in a s s/e through to n n/e then Golden beach is great. The river mouth at Caloundra is fine in a Southerly if you want some waves.
Neil st Dicky Beach is fine in a southerly if you are happy with a beach launch.
Mooloolaba bay is fine in a good southerly and in a Northerly it is choppy but should have a bump or two to ride.
Maroochy river mouth in north or south winds but not a lot of space and the tide can be brutal if you get it wrong. Cotton tree is good in a n/e at the top of the tide.
Cheers
