Hi, I paddle my 14' raceboard on a lake. Would a wing be an option for going upwind when the breeze is more than I want to paddle upwind in? And for across the wind & downwind, would the board get up on the plane?
Thanks.

If it were me I wouldn't waste my time. All the wing would be good for is downwind unless you had something like a centerboard to allow you to drive upwind, even then it would be really boring and you would have more fun paddling.

Dingfix,
It's great fun,I paddle upwind on a 14' glide towing a v1 Duotone. Hard work but good workout.

Turn around and hoot downwind, you have very little control of the board, take some massive wipeouts.

My runs are only 3klms,but I enjoy it,wings aren't only for foils.
