Hi guys, new wing foiling lover here. I live in Ryde and since it's a bit far from Narrabeen lake, just wondering if you guys know where can I practise wing foiling around the area? For example, somewhere in parramatta river? Thanks in advance. Cheers

Hi Danbo, I've done a lot of winging at Putney and the best spot is in front of the Ferry wharf at Kissing Point in a southerly. Watch the tides as the water spins past the point fast on the change. You need High tide for depth as well. Plus if you use the boat ramp, it's super slippery at low tide. In Westerlies you can try in front of the Sailing club (Concord & Ryde) but it's always off and on (and gusty). I often use a big handwing and just hang on when you get hit by a gust. Northerlies I avoid but they are doable. Prefer to drive to Long Reef.
Stu.
