Greetings from Canada. I am considering a trip to Tasmania to wing foil. I have a friend with a place in Low Head on north side of island so would be basing out of there. Any helpful info about places to go, conditions, or connections would be very much appreciated. I hope to visit in November/December. Thanks

My dad had a place there and I've visited it and saw the possibility of winging there. Fairly strong tide but you can wing the inlet on high tide and the ocean is rather promising. Very nice bay and beach at Low Head. Lots of wind too.

There are some nice beaches around for winging. East beach on the eastern side (in town of low head). Greens beach on the western side. N to NW is best which is mostly over our winter but can happen at other times. Nice rolling swell with softish waves. East breezes work well over summer as well but less waves. Bell buoy also as long as you are aware of shoreline rocks (not sure if still there).
