Last w/e at Green Point was pretty windy and the windsurfers came out of the woodwork.

It shows how bad the traffic was. Wingers going in all directions. Wingers on waves going all the other directions. Windsurfers going flat out through the middle of all of it. It's amazing there aren't more collisions.

Nice video DJ & yeah good comment Gorgo , it's not so much the crowd but the different line Windsurfers and Wingers take reaching and tacking plus Windsurfers often drop down and chug in the flat spots where the wingers can glide and pump through only to be overtaken again by a windsufer on the next gust running a 15 to 20 degree different line from behind ,it's hectic.

Throw in 1/2 a dozen jetski's and you could have been making your video at Kyeemagh in Botany Bay.
Still looked like a great time on the wing, nice work DJ.

Classic. I could think of a couple of other songs as a soundtrack - you were kind with that choice.

Is Green Point one of the more popular spots in Melbourne? Is that normal or only when it's really windy?

Thanks.. and yes Green Point is one of the more popular spots in Melbourne and although it was mostly a windsurfing spot it's becoming more and more a winging spot.

On those very windy days (25 knots+) the windsurfers are in their element and the wingers tend to struggle a bit.. but slowly the wingers are handling the stronger winds better and mixing it with the windsurfers.

There has been days lately when it's a w/e day and with a nice 15-20 knot wind I've counted about 30 wingers out.. and only the odd windsurfer.
