If you had to choose between Armstrong 4.5 , Konrad 5m , Duotone Unit 5m ,Wave Chaser 5m. Which one would you choose ? I'm wanting to do starts on a sinker board and my 4m won't cut it unless it's howling and I'm in the surf so I don't want to go bigger than 5.

I bought a prototype off one Ocean sports and has more pull than a V1 duotone echo 5m. Cabrina,Smik and Ensis also worth a look.

I have an Armstrong 4.5 v2. Only other wings I have tried are Ozone v2 5M and Ensis 4M. Armstrong is super grunty, as powerful as Ozone 5M. Only criticism is smallish spaced handles - adding the carbon bar helps a lot with transitions and takeoffs but you get used to handles quickly in any event. I love the Armstrong, it's stiff and compact and feels very powerful for its size. Also very well built and not to my mind heavy feeling as some have claimed, though again my experience with other wings is limited. A similar wing would be the PPC surge available online. Have heard great things about it.

My son is using both the armstrong (V1) and the ppc. He prefers the armstrong for sink starting. More constant grunt power to get him up. Also prefers it for jumping. But the ppc flags better, handles strong gusts better - more all round. Ive yet to use the armstrong but will soon as i need all the help i can get sink starting.

Another vote for the A-Wing. It's grunty, heavy and bullet proof, only issue is that it is heavy. I had a Unit, it was total rubbish and I sold it ASAP. Power was OK on the unit, but construction was junk, handles were loose and the "Doutone flip" was annoying (the wing likes being upside down!).

Armstrong and ENSIS feel very similar. ENSIS feels lighter and the new Score is even a bigger step forward.

If you can try a Smik and a PPC both very good.
