I'm a windsurfer/windfoiler waiting for my order of a Starboard 115L wingboard and a Duotone 6.5 Slick wing to arrive. 185lbs/84kg. I have a collection of Sllingshot front foil wings: i76, i84, i99. Anyone out there with experience with these wings? Which one would you recommend I start my wingfoil journey with? Thanks for ideas.

Biggest and work your way down in conditions and learnings. Same as every other brand, Tucker from Mac Kite seems to be enjoying the PTM range - give it a go if you can trade in or sell something.
I've owned all three and learnt to wing foil on them. Definitely start with the i84, the 76 is a bit small for learning unless its quite windy and the 99 a bit too big other than for very light winds.
Once you have done a few sessions and have the basic skills, you can move down to the 76 for windier conditions, but you'll need something smaller than a 6.5 Slick, it's a big wing.
I've started on the i99 and really liked it as a beginner. I had trouble keeping it from breaching on a windfoil but it seemed very manageable and easy for Winging. I'm 95kilos so it helped to have a big wing to start with. I moved on to Axis foils but really enjoyed windfoiling the slingshot wings.

I am the same size as you and learned in the 84, it's great. It will feel somewhat slower than when you windfoil it by about 5km/h. I have been winging infrequently for almost two years and am looking into the new Slingshot Quantum 85 wing for a bit more speed.
I learnt to windfoil on the SS Infinity range & am now using them for winging. Wingers use a shorter fuselage but I prefer the longer wind foil one for stability. The shorter one is probably better to pump the foil with.
Here are the specs:

I weigh 100 kg & find the I99 & the Slick 6.5 work well in light wind.
I have all 3 of those foils and used the 99 by far the most. I weigh 82 kg. And use the 99 from about 10 knots with a 6.2 up to 30 with a 3 metre wing. The only problem is if the waves on the large lake are above waist high I cannot keep the foil in the water if I ride down the wave with the wing flagged out. Otherwise no problem. Of the 3 it is my favorite for my conditions. I now have the quantum 100 as well and that is my current favorite. Faster, less drag and easier to keep it from breaching.
Thanks for the tip. I've ordered a Quantum 100 foil. Do you think it works best with the 42 or 48 cm tail?
