The ease of carrying gear, transporting it, rigging and getting going. The fun factor of being on foil Vs all that. Also the onlookers on the beach...huh? UFO! And not to mention flying past windsurfers with huge sails who are hardly planing gives lots of satisfaction (says a former windsurfer)

Sailing in 3D vs the 2D i did as a windsurfer.Upwind,downwind,across...
Doing dozens of tacks, jibes and variations without coming off the foil.
I do not think i ever pulled 4 planing windsurf jibes in a row...

This is 40mins of wingfooling around in iffy wind.

Avoiding the complication of lines. Easier to rig. Easier to launch/land. Easier to self rescue. No tangles.

For me it is the following: challenge; compact (it all goes in the back of a hatchback); fast setup; evolving sport; and of course you're up on the foil. I have both wind and wing foil equipment and I now have to push myself to go wind foiling -- the attraction of the wing is all powerful.

The thing I love most about wing foiling is the way it can turn any sort of bump or swell into a "surf" session. The ability to hunt down a decent bump, tow yourself in then depower and surf it can make even the most mild conditions really fun. I often have a session in good windswell/bumps and feel like I have had a good day of surfing real waves

Cheapest high performance foil sailing option by miles, and heaps of fun. Plenty of crew around here rueing the end of winter waves, while I can't wait for the arrival of the summer winds.

What i love about wing foiling now is the fact I have to set up two lots of gear at the beach when Angie Pangi decides she wants to come foiling which is everytime. Not because she can't set her own up but it's just easier and less whinging this way!! Oh yeah two sets to pack up as well just for more fun!! Bloody great sport! haha

Kayaking with a few AXIS 1300's attached might be interesting.

My problem with efoiling is once you can get up, and can turn.... you have somewhat mastered it.

I love that wing-foiling is making lame windsurf conditions exciting again.

One is only limited by their thinking. You have not been in ocean swells etc

The amount of time/distance it allows me to be on foil and improves prone/dw game
