Looking for advice on foil setup for swell and wave riding. I have Naish 1200 front and I'm struggling with to much lift. Im getting riding in, but have to choose smaller waves or stay low on the face.
Speaking with good locals and told I need to drop in foil size significantly.
I'm 75kg, WA wing foilers. Looking for advice on foil setup to get more competent in swell riding but still easy for gybes as finally got good success rate with those.
This your for wing foiling. Just looking for advice too give me an idea on size and type before I visit shops.

Do you have some solid friends and are there popular local brands that you like? That can be a great way to go because you get first hand feedback.

Biggest thing I'd recommend is if you're switching, go with a brand that has a 13.5ish millimeter or thinner UHM mast. That will help a ton. AFS is my favorite and IMO F4 has some enticing options right now as well. Both brands have great masts as well as surf and DW foils.

I'm using the HA840 with reasonable success and will be a cheaper option than a complete change of ecosystem.

Is it the 1200 MA? In that case I totally get you. It was manuvrable, but lifty and not much glide. The cheap option would to switch to an JET HA. They ride still fine and are good stepping stone for where you seem to be in your learning curve/looking for but that design is a bit dated compared to more mordern foils. If you have a lot to splash and looking to max performance: switch systems like adviced above.
