Hi!
I always wondered if there are special terms for Maneuvers in wingfoil. It's confusing if u want to describe a turn or saying what's ur problem to an wing Colleague.
Here the example. If I right along Half-wind and I get the wind from larboard it's my weaker stance in switch (as I am regular in surf, sk8, Snowboard thinking). And so it's heavier to do a tack or jibe in this position. How to name it because there is also switch on the other side getting wind from starboard. That's for me regular in sk8 thinking. So there is switch stance and switch in holding the wing but standing in ur natural Chocolate stance. Wtf. I hope it was not to confusing. Or do u say switch larboard and switch starboard? Or switch switch? And just switch?

I think the simple answer is heelside and toeside

Yeah but u can for example ride a tack toeside in regular stance (wind from starboard) and u can ride it toeside goofy (wind from larboard). Both with switched wing!?!

OK so I can say I got problems with my switched (goofy) toe side tack if I mean the weaker stance. For goofy rider it's his/her better stance.

How about riding "heelside on starboard tack" to describe riding heelside on goofy-foot.

yes. The problem is u have to describe it ultralong. And switch means normal switched sail or wing in windsport. I just thought there is an more or less official slang term in English speaking wingscene!?

So if u say....
Switched toe side tack... It showes the others it's ur weak stance, ignoring where the wind is coming from or saying whats ur normal stance.

Toe side tack
And
Switch toe side tack
