Looks like a lot of issues with Takuma quality could be answered.
Monocoque design, made in France. Looks like a winner.

2400+ EUR for a complete foil. That's advanced price level. AFS does have excellent quality. Super strong.. good experience from my windfoil days.
I always felt the *wing* foil design was the weaker bit with AFS.. now not anymore it seems.
Interesting he was able to bring so much of his design over, you'd think Kujira would have patented it.
Even more hilarious given that the AFS interpretation seems to address all of the nonsense engineering decisions in the Takuma version (top mounted single hole proprietary rear stabilizer, unstable fuse to wing connection) - at least on paper...
Hilarious too since Takuma is just beginning it's kujira 2 launch campaign ![]()
I think the Kujira 2 was rushed out to try to beat this news...

it is a lot of money, but i bought last year an cedrus mast and stringy fuse for my kujira1210 and then you spend probably even more...i really like the french mast mast.
stiff as f....
.i really like the french mast mast.
stiff as f....
what does this mean?
That it is a stiff, fast well made mast and can,t be compared with certain mating essentials body parts due the auto-language correction![]()

In the UK the AFS foils are well priced compared to to Armstrong. I have the AFS W95 for Windfoiling and it's a great bit of kit. My wing foils are Armstrong and A+ and I really like my set up but the cost of the new High Modulus mast and MA foils is putting me off upgrading.
The AFS high mod mast is a bargain in comparison.
As we all know it's a big deal changing foil brand in cost and future proofing. My concerns with AFS are that they make a lot of stuff for lighter riders not 93kg and to be honest availability of some of the kit isn't what you would expect.
I will watch the new AFS foils with interest while continuing to save up!
AFS windfoiling masts have been very stiff for years. Will be interesting to see if that continues in their winging product lines.
