Hi . I held a Takoon wing (7m) on the beach for a real big bloke while he got organised , fairly low knts no white caps 11 /12 ish I think . He got on the foil in fairly quick time, it was a really nice comfortable light wing . So I did a quick online search and found a comparison, a fairly comprehensive review with 8 ish wings some v2 by Windmag . The review read as being competent and listing both pros and cons from each of the wings . The sizeing was as close to the 4m wing that the brand produced. eg Naish s25 4.3 from memory ect. The Takoon rated fantastically ,number 1 in fact . A email and a quick reply stated ?444 ($810 AD)delivered to Perth Wa for a 3m ,(as i already have a 5m thats gets me up in 13 ish knts). Has any one had any experience with takoon windwings greater than standing on the sand haha, cheers in advance for your thoughts , Jeff

The question mark in front of the 444 was meant to be a Euro sign ?. Haha

I have zero complaints about them. They have very good customer service and the wings perform well.

I got the 7, 6 and 4 and they seem similar to the F-one i had but with more handles. About the same weight as the F-one also. I'd say my F-one may have been a little better build quality. My thing is i needed a 7m that was light weight due to my area's borderline light wind conditions most of the time. Wind around here is rare, and when we get it it's usually like 9 MPH average gusting to 25 mph so wind range was important and these work pretty good. I haven't got to use the 4m yet. The Takoon 7m is a good bit more manageable than my pervious 7m Gong .

Cheers Fishdude. I've always liked the thought of supporting the local industry mob , they are in a competitive business and great for us to have customer warranty and service thats face to face. It's just such a outstanding review on the Takoon.
Build quality never been more important to me however , my kites hardly ever touched the water. However my wing has copped a bit of a thrashing by comparison. So there's that . This is all food for thought . Cheers mate

From far this is the best wing i tried. Tried the Duotone ( Both model ) and the Takoon and the F-one too are the best for me. Light and powerful

I have a Takoon 4m and a Starboard Airush Freewing AIR 6m.

Airush looks like better quality but i like the simple and lightweight feel of the Takoon.
The Takoon has a nice bag and because it doesn't have windows it can be packed/fold really small.

What i saw from SMIK it looks like the same wing with exactly the same bag (just different colors).
Only thing SMIK doesn't have a 7m.
