I just had a 4m wing written off (user error, wing's been one of the best upwing + flag down swell wing) .. had a relatively 'not pointy' front just touched (due to small wall of white-water pushed the front of my 35L sinker) a tensioned part of the wing right at the joint at the leading edge and the entire panel nearly got ripped right out. Next day, I checked and discovered the tip of the front wing was a bit roughed up (like a newly sharpened knife) and that rough edge just serrated thru the tensioned canopy. So, please always sand smooth your tips ![]()
