Has anybody tried taping up a stretched wing canopy to make it a bit tighter? Like with spinnaker tape or something. You would think there could maybe be some way of getting that nice tight new wing feel without having to buy a new wing.
Haven't tried and can't see a fix. would love it if they were built with more durability in mind. Kites last way longer, I think a season at best out of a wing.

Personally unless you are doing wing racing I think it's not that important. A bagged out kite flies badly and gets hard to control but the wing is in your hands and it's initial shape when new it already pretty sh1+. Just use it till it's done and don't look too close or think about it too much hahaha
I think it's that low end performance you loose out on. When you pump and it flaps about, when new much tighter canopies makes the light wind stuff easygoing. when powered not such a problem.
A decent sailmaker could take a dart out of the trailing edge to tighten the canopy. Tempted to have that done with my V1 Mantis.
