Stinkbug advice needed.

On light chop with 6m Strike I was able to put the center strut on the nose of the board holding both handles and was stable.
With the 4.2m strike in 20+ knots, heavy chop and wind swell, the leading edge would soon catch chop and get stuck, with the wing trying to flip, then flips when I let go.
I had to switch to a different technique, keeping the wing in the water, stabilizing myself from the U handle, but then when you lift it you need to place your hands quickly being unstable for a moment.
