Yesterday at Sandy Point was awesome..
Just enough wind (5-10 knots) and using my 6m Matador LT wing and big 2140HA foil.
did they change the handles on the Matador?
Yes.. But only on the LT version of the Matador.
My eyes gently weep looking at the water colour and unwetsuited skin. Add some waves and it's paradise :-)

The waves are on the other side of the dune.
How do you manage without windows???
Big blind spot.. Particularly on the bigger wings.. Not ideal for learning or winging in crowded area's.. At the end of this session I was gliding straight downwind (off the foil) using the wing like a big spinnaker and I was a bit concerned about hitting one of the people standing in the water fishing so I was continually lifting it to look under the wing..
This new Matador LT is designed for wave riding and downwinders where you spend most of the time with the wing flagging.. The normal Matador and WingSurfer wings will always have windows.. It will be interesting to see if Naish continue with this non-window version because I've heard Robby is very pro-windows in wings.
Seems 8-14 to me, that 6 meter wing flying on the beach. More wind in the water
It's pretty gusty.. and the breeze funnels along the beach in that spot.. There was just enough at times to stay on the foil with sections that felt like almost zero wind other than my apparent wind generated by my foiling speed.. Back in the day (20 yrs ago) this was a famous speed sailing spot but the sand dunes have grown so much in size and have spoiled the perfect speed sailing conditions.
Great video, love those conditions. I was out yesterday in 5c 10-30knts getting battered by heavy swell. Full winter kit for Edinburgh Scotland. Swap you! A question about your foils. I've just got the Naish HA1400, loving how fast compared to my old AK low aspect. Any tips for getting on foil, seems to need a different technique to my AK. How does the HA2100 compare, thinking of adding that as a light wind option. thanks.

Hi and thanks.. The Naish HA1400 is a great foil in the Naish range and I'm using it a lot lately.. I'm not sure what the AK foil is? As far as tips on getting on foil you need to be a little more gentle with front foot pressure once lifting up off the water.. To avoid breaches try moving your hips forward instead of front foot pressure.. Also I find it needs a little more board speed before it will lift and bouncing on the front foot helps to pump the foil off the water but once you get lift be careful not to stomp the front foot to level out or it is likely to suddenly drop back to the water.. In time it will become an easy process.. The extra speed is great but it's easy to get going a bit too fast and loose control so remember your wing is like an accelerator and like in a car it works both ways so use it to slow down if going too fast.. As far as the big 2140HA foil goes.. I love it.. Early lift and good top speed without the draggy feel of big foils.
Hope that helps.. I'm no expert.

Love the handles..they are not only comfortable but stiff enough I can torque the wing around in transitions.

Thanks for info, I'll give it ago, really helpful.
I tried pumping the 1400 like my old one and found out about it rearing up then stalling, finesse required I think.
I think I will look at the 2140 for light winds, my AK feels so slow compared to the Naish, very happy with it. love the beautiful conditions you wing in, very envious.
