Sorry to all
Just writing this because I chased after your wing I saw no windsurfers or anyone was retrieving it so I legged it...watched it for three hrs nearly got it a couple of times on the slabs at cliff end but it didn't stay on slabs kept going back out and switching bays
I know exactly where it is it came to rest finally just at dusk but couldn't get down the limescale cliffs was too dodgy went in and out several times
Call 0478961057 for it's location by anyone ...I lost a bit of my sunnies running around looking for it (Cape to Cape trek) happy to go back there again tomorrow
Other than that get well soon
Ta sorry
Thought I'd say also it went right though a windsurfers channel and could have been saved
If U really want that channel (windsurfers).. as U were the ones who 'discovered it' in the first place and something comes past can't U just paddle out 20m on your base board and retrieve it![]()
I was so disappointed even spoke with a couple of windsurfers and asked them to get it and they did fk#ll
That wing could have been saved !
The kiters meanwhile just seem to like their GoPros and have no time to rescue people's gear
Honestly it was 25m and passing right through a windsurf channel at some stage it really wasn't difficult to get
And no
..I didn't have any equipment with me that's why I ran
......and apparently the wind was iffy by then anyway.....so understandable...
..but paddling 20m on your w surf board waaaaay before the swell really isn't difficult...hats off &thanx to the one windsurfer who actually tried to help by picking up your board but not actually going to do it
At least U were aware! Everyone else seemed to be in their own personal self obsessed bubble! (Sorry)...
Thanks Tim ?? We texted now. That was my wing. I let it go when I fell in the impact zone and huge set wave was upon me. the wave snapped my board leash. I had a bad cut from the foil and paddled in and would like to thank all the wingers and by passers that helped me out the water and stayed with me till ambos arrived. Was a great community feeling.
thanks for trying to get the wing. Very much appreciated. Will give you a call in the morning.
cheers Tim
Ahh ok thanx tim wrote this before
Ok
It's best with two people maybe to get down that limestone cliff or at least on daylight ... as getting back up with it would be difficult...
There's someone camping up at the top of that hill too(and it's not me)...
