Every week we seem to be getting another wingdinger, 12 months ago it was windsurfing only here and in the 14-17 knots we had yesterday there would have been only one or two. Crazy how quickly this sport is growing. 14 yo Daniel Johns aka 'Chicken wing' is busting out Air360s like gybes and both tacks too! Really pushing the old timers.
Nice location, riding, and drone filming! I notice in the most of the videos I see of everyday riders there aren't very many people who are tacking yet. Would you say that's the case where you are?

Yeah, most still struggling with gybes. Quite a few can toeside tack from switch but heel side is the killer, especially the bad side. Most here are from a windsurfing background so are trying to ride switch.

Interesting. Tacking from heelside is definitely awkward compared to toeside tasks. Funny how the windsurfers always want to ride switch and the surfers want nothing to do with switch stance! Thankfully Wing foiling can accommodate different riding preferences![]()

Bring able to ride switch is cool, even better if you can do it on a wave! So many more options if you can but still feels a bit weird although getting easier every wave.
