anyone out there putting miles on Smik parawing? Partic the 5.0?
Curious any feedback re moving lines around on the bar or other tweaks/mods to enhance low wind / high wind handling & wind range?
Also, feedback re moving the red (leading edge) and white (front canopy) bridles apart on the bar?
Shortening the mid lines to flatten profile enhance top end capability?
Subbing in a longer bar to maximise ability to control draft/angle of attack/steering in light/lit scenarios?
Harness line positioned other than snug up against the A lines?
thanks!

The Smik has four sets of lines each with separate bridle attaching to a bog-standard bar, all bridles except trailing edge are position adjustable on the fly.
Wind's been unkind of late, sadly few opps for working out optimum bridle positions for different conditions, but thus far, the usual A's all the way frwd (just enough bar sticking out for index finger) for max depower (and getting to feet) when lit, and A's moved back toward mid of handle for max loft & stability in marginal wind, per pics attached. Definitely helps at either end of the range (or just plain gusty ****e wind of late).

Keen to work out what bridle positions for the white (forward canopy) and black (rear canopy) lines might improve ease of handling when lit (its a 5 metre). Also whether shortening both those mid line bridles on the fly to flatten out the profile - a la Seb's POW mods Facebook parawing group- might also improve ease of handling (and thus upwind fun) when fully lit.

Also curious if a longer, say 10cm, bar might improve overall control ( and improve steering/yaw control when youre trying to dig the tips out starting in the light stuff), obvs at the expense of packdown size.

Also got a StashV2-style J-bar made of conduit and foam to try, but Huey not cooperating for testing this stuff

Only other mods are the usual taping of the middle four leading edge lines together (pic) so hand goes snug to the leading edge when dousing, and colouring the three middle leading edge cells black with permanent marker for easy ID launching.
