I've got an infinity 76 wing that I use 4 wing foiling it has a very noisy Humm I have changed every part of the foil and have concluded it is the wing itself I have sanded the wing down with wet and dry I have used a block and sanded the trailing edge there is no damages or scratches on it and it still has a hum I can usually fix the issue but this one really is a problem has anybody else come across this issue. it's slightly fades when at maximum speed around 18 knots but under that it's noisy and it's killing the vibe??![]()
When you sanded the trailing edge ,did you do it like this?:
Seems around here, Berkeley Ca., humming foils alert sea life and they stay away.
Every foiler with silent foils hit fish or other sea life just about every session.
Of course, submerged plastic and wood are not getting out of the way.
I attach a leash to my foils which make a swishing noise when up on foil. Seems to work well, as I am the only foiler who hasn't hit fish YET. 125 days.
After doing all the edges front wing stabilizer and mast the vibration is worse than ever you can actually feel it in your feet yet there is no visible damage at all and nothing is bent.
