As there is no choice for rear stabilizers on the slingshots has anybody had a go at making a flat rear wing to help improve the pump ability

Chop the tips off ur 42cm stab. They go heaps faster and turn better

Grab Benders and give it a go before you chop.
I chopped one of mine and found it gave less lift for no real performance gain.

I really wasn't thinking of cutting one down once you've cut it off there's no Going Back I just was going to make one from scratch that is flat like on my Axis setup I was wondering if anybody had made one I remember seeing in the early days of foil people were making them out of G10 fins

I just made a mould of my current set up, so that I can pop them out to tweak / rebuild in future with damaging current set up

Super easy to do

They do have a choice between a 42cm and a 48cm rear stab, however they don't have a flat rear stab.

Yep that sounds like a great idea I just find it very difficult to cut up a perfectly good stabilizer only to find out that it's not right

Yep I've had slingshots for a very long time and I have had both rear stabilizes the 42 is the standard for pretty much everything there is just too much of a difference between the 48 and the smaller 42 just very interested in making a flat stabilizer I have a couple of other brands of foils that are use and they both have flat stabilizers so just want to make one for my slingshot setup

Would you have any pics of your mould setup. Did you use gel coat?

That is a flash way to do it but honestly if you get a fibreglass tile, sheet of G10 or similar you will have a functional stab in a few minutes with a jigsaw and sander. I laid up my own panel but have recently discovered fibreglass tiles, so that removes 95% of the work.

Did you make the wing out of that fibreglass tile then wrap it in carbon. Whereabouts would you get a fibreglass tile from looks like it works a treat

I made carbon panel from scratch for those ones, only recently discovered the tiles.
Link...G10 is really nice too but more expensive.

Comes in 600x600mm too.
