New to winging so i apologize if this is a known hack.
Just got a new wing(naish matador lt 5M) and my first session the handles were alot of work, seemed slick and like i was working too hard to hold on. I just hit them with some 150 grit sandpaper and worked up a little fuzz on em and its much better.
Or.. just wait till after your first session and that slightly slick feeling on the handles just disappears naturally and they actually feel pretty grippy without needing to do anything.

Hey TooMuchEpoxy,
Yes the loop handles can be a little "slick" on first use, it does go very quickly, or simply rub some sand on them before you head out for the next use. They will be totally fine once used for a session or two max. Sanding them will work, but this is also obviously degrading the material also, maybe not the best look especially on re-sale, but yes, would work as well if you do not mind the scruffy look.
In general any material on any product pretty much from any brand, if it feels a little "slick" or sliperier than you'd expect, it likely has a factory finish or release agent on it that will go with use. Often the best way to speed up this process is with good old ocean sand and salt water and bit of elbow grease (rub it). I always suggets not to use chemicals or sandpaper/grind as a first option. All products should have been R&D'd and tested to be suitable.
Or sa always, reach out to your local dealer where you purchased your product and ask advice (or you can always contact me and I will do my best to get back to you ASAP).
Thanks for posting up TME,
Ride safe,
JB
