You going to wrap the ends around the bar now? That's what most people who use this method do. No slipping of the lines?
I'm thinking of trying it on my 4,3 and interested for any tips. Was considering using some heat shrink around it but that might be more permanent than I want for now.

Thanks for showing this really easy method. I'm super tempted to try this. Is this a smaller size parawing... I noticed you went shorter than some I have been seeing like 9"/ 22cm. I'd be interested to see how you handle buttoning up the spare line as well.

I understand that the 9" is the length needed to loop the line around the bar once, so thats why a lot of people use that length - also apparently it doesn't really negatively impact power or upwind much. You can also do shorter if you loop the bar multiple times. If you splice you can do whatever length you want.

Im hoping to get around to it this weekend and will report back if I do.

What's happening at the top of your bar? Can't quite make out what you've done.

It is a 4.3 Pocket Donger. It is just a temporary thing to see how it handles. If all goes well, one will make the lines permanently shorter by cutting, splicing, and sewing. Making the lines permanently shorter will take several hours. The method shown in the images took less than an hour, and allows for trying of various lengths without too much drama. 125mm shorter seems to be ok for my arm span in packing up this string wing.

Why shorten lines? To make stashing easier?

The lines on the bigger sizes of the Ozone pwing are pretty long. I can stash mine without much issue, but it would be easier if the lines were shorter. The long lines are probably why the sail is as powerful as it is and goes upwind so well, so its probably a little tradeoff. As the OP showed, its pretty easy to experiment with the shorter lines without permanently changing the length.
