As I'm sure you're all aware everyday in WA is basically like a scene out of the acclaimed documentary Sharknado. The risks have become so high that you don't even have to go out on the water to be at risk. You're in imminent danger even just standing next to a river or pond or any body of water.
Personally I have decided to be proactive and will be using Shark deterrent devices basically at all times. What I'm looking at doing is using some of these FCS shark banz pods

Apparently they work a lot better if you use multiple pods at once. I was thinking of actually getting a whole bunch of them and stringing them together. I searched online for images of how to do it and found this particular image which gave me some good ideas.

Now I just wonder if anyone has any suggestions as to how I can mount these, Ideally on my body, so that I can have maximum protection at all times??

I have been using a set the same as the second picture for several years, and while I have had some arse-clenching moments I can say to date zero successful shark attacks.

That looks more like a 'human deterrent' to me
.. !
There are multiple accounts of people wearing Sharkbanzs still being attacked here is a couple , it has better reviews with Bulls but not the Whites. Something is better than nothing ,I'd be using Skark Eyes as well.
Santa Cruz shark attack victim was wearing a Sharkbanz
Erica Fox (December 2025): A triathlete was fatally attacked by a Great White shark at Lovers Point in Monterey, California, while wearing a Sharkbanz device. Body of Swimmer Erica Fox, killed by Great White, Found With Sharkbanz Still Attached to Ankle

Seems consistent with the O.P ![]()

"Affects their magnetic field sense" could mean that it repels most... and strongly attracts some.
The only shark deterrent device with positive empirical evidence is shark shield/ocean guardian. It's currently not in production after going into administration. If you've been next one you realise it puts out a decent voltage & current. Magnets don't appear to work.

And yet 3 people were killed wearing one.
When your number's up, your number's up.
Probably more chance of getting run over in a Woolies carpark by someone looking at their phone.

I've always thought it's bull**** anyway. The evidence that a shark cruising past is annoyed by it, is not the same as a two tonne animal already doing 30kph straight toward you as it's decided to attack. Then at the last second it gets an annoying snout tickle from an electric thing. It's too late. The testing is not real world in that sense.

You're correct. www.sharksmart.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0017/1193021/Effective-methods-for-assessing-the-effectiveness-of-personal-electrical-shark-deterrent-devices-including-what-was-achieved-for-Aim-2.pdf

This is just plain nonsense. Do you even believe this yourself? Are you paid or otherwise rewarded to advertise for this product?

I really wish this stuff actually worked (any of it). I was thinking of getting some Shark Eyes decals ... But now I wonder if they may be doing the exact opposite of what they claim.

Not really, the frequency is increasing dramatically in Australia, if I lived there , no way would I be going in the water
