Does anyone else get a shaking front leg when they foil (riding both ways, so not dominant to one leg).

I'm a long term foiler so not new to the sport, but starting to notice it more and more. I can't seem to relate it to being tired as it happens at the beginning of a session as well.

I just wondered if anyone else has experienced it and has done anything to stop it?

Thanks

Sewing machine leg. I used to get it climbing. I think it's just a unconscious reaction to built up stress/ anticipation - like the way when you can't control yourself from running down the beach to the water before a surf after driving 2 hours to get there.

Any way to control it?

I know it from climbing too but it was usually from a very specific stance issue when it happened to me and it was always coming from the calf. Where in your leg is it shaking and what else is going on during the ride when it happens?

i had this a while ago, ik its not temperature because we were in Fiji I think it comes from unbalanced pressure between front and back legs/feet, i had it on my back leg because i had windsurfer-like stance; maybe try moving around on the board (fore and aft)

hope this helps

You need to relax and feel the groove.

Thanks all. It only seems to happen when I am cranking up wind, so possibly a stance issue. I will play around with my stance, as well as chilling out a bit

Take a look into foundation training, it's done wonders for me with foiling.
