Sabfoil on F-one boards do you need to shim it? Seems like F-one has 1.5 degree angle Vs other brands. I ride sabfoil 975 and 1260 without shim on rocket wing v2 fone board and works well.
If it works well you dont need a shim. I know quite some people riding sab with an F-One board and none of them use shims. F-one boards have built in rake pointing the nose up, generally that is not really an issue. A lot of racers / speeders actually do this on purpose because it gives more forgiveness when hitting the water.
Raking it the other way (nose down) is an issue (at least for me), as that means when hitting the water you have way more drag. Also it makes the balance between front and rear foot feel off in my personal opinion.
Some people claim the nose down rake will make the board take off earlier. Personally I find the difference there is minimal, and definately not worth the loss of performance when up in the air as getting the board up on foil accounts for maybe 1% of the session time.
