Has anyone used this yet?

I have the 799 and love it in about 13-14kts upward. I also have a W1100 as my light wind foil, but thinking that maybe the 899 could replace it.

I have. In fact I did exactly what you are planning, keeping the 799 and replacing the 1100 with the 899. You might lose a knot on the low end, but it's much more agile than the 1100 and you can jump without worries...
However, as the 799 is so good for its size in light wind, you'll find that the 899 does get going earlier, but not massively so.

I love my 799 but what makes me doubt on the 899 is the thickness, thats almost oldskool thick. I,m waiting for the 1110 but a friend gets the 899 so I hope i can try/borrow it soon.

Right, that had me worried, too, but surprisingly it isn't really noticeably slower than the 799.

No idea, I only use these in flat water. 799 was ok in waves but I liked 945 better...
