Got a 6m V5 a few weeks back and managed 2 sessions in 11 - 14kts (primarily 12 kts)I am 95kg (all gear on) riding a 6'2" carver with 1160 SAB front wing. Also an early stage intermediate level rider.I upgraded from a V3 6m and also have a V4 5m with boom so the boom is no difference to me. First opening - well packed for transport and the bag is good quality (same as V4). Was surprised to see the one pump system is gone as there isn't any detail published about these changes. Scotty explained why and his reasoning is logical. I am just a fan of the one pump system as I use an electric pump.
Visually - very nice. Great finishing, workmanship etc.
First and second sesh - feels way lighter than the V3, a lot easier to pump up onto the foil (different action) than the V3 and significantly more power when flying. No canopy flap under load and felt a lot different to the V3 when gybing (haven't tacked with it yet). Also achieved a 16.8kt run in 11kts.The canopy tension in the front half is significant then there is inbuilt slack in the back half which nicely dumps gusts without canopy flap The various changes to materials, pattern, canopy tension etc makes it feel like a smaller wing. I was only able to flag out briefly twice as there weren't many bumps to ride but the wing felt stable and behaved nicely. Things I don't like - the boom ends are a bit harsh and design could be improved to reduce possible board damage (particularly for newer riders), not a fan of the 2 valves for inflation however, I understand the reasoning behind the change.

thx, I ordered a 4 and a 6. Which valves are used? Boston I hope.
Same as the valves in V3and V4.
