Has anyone got good advice on removing the dents in deck grip left after removing foot straps. Have tried boiling water and using a blow dryer. No real success.
Cheers.
You can't
it was foam - ie had voids. now that cell structure is busted up it won't come back.
but why...? I guess resale ?

Just looks ugly. ![]()
You have to leave them. Most windsurf brands put some sort of laminate/wood under the strap inserts for this reason.

Also, most production boards have garbage laminations under that pad. Every time I've take a pad off all the carbon is sanded through. The forum mods won't let me say which brands though because of advertising!
Boiling water? On your board?
just a cloth dipped in and on that small specific area.
Have you tried applying suction like from a vacuum? Maybe you can sort of lift the surface and allow the compressed foam to relax back to shape? But I don't think you'd ever fool anybody into believing the boards never been strapped...
It's easy enough to re-grip the whole board.
A sheet of 72x240cm 3M grip costs $85 from eBay.
Remove the old grip with turps. Make a cardboard half template. Mark it, cut it, put it on.
It's quite satisfying. It's like having a new board.
