I have a North Mode Pro with the N-Weave fabric. N-Weave 45 on the frame and Matrix-NHTRS on the canopy.
Apart from being an excellent wing one of the most pleasing things is that it sheds water. The wing dries completely in the time it takes to change out of the wetsuit. The only damp spots are the neoprene valve covers and the leading edge handle.
It makes the whole process so much easier. No damp wing in the car. No hanging out to dry at home. All wings end up in their bags.
My question, do other brands have excellent wings that shed water too? Which ones?
Try foiling in the UK in winter - you get off the water with a dry wing and by the time you've changed out of your wetsuit everything is soaking wet.
Have you had it for very long? My Cabrinhas were like this for the first session before the waterproof coating wore off, it was great while it lasted. I hope North's lasts longer. Despite this I still like the Cabs.
Any of the Dyneema wings do this. They don't take on water. As a results, you can also use them well below freezing.
I found the Takuma RS wings dry pretty fast, but for me the wing was so fragile (and the silly tension battens,, oh dear), but I agree it's a comfort to be able to put a dry wing back in the car boot, that is if it doesn't rain again while your changing lol
