Last I heard, the Wingdrifters will move to the KT brand with different graphics but the same shapes. Not sure if more sizes/different constructions are being offered or not.
A big part of getting going quickly is technique and after that the foil. But if you isolate it to the shape the is Quatro,s are great in tracking and touch down recovery due there quad concave and big bevels. Those are things that you don,t want if you wanna plane quicker.If you want an quicker planing board look at the AK Phazer, the V2 5.4 has 78l.
I have the V1 5.8x90l and with my 97kg I can in lightwind quicker get it up to plane as my former board the Fanatic Skywing5.8x110l and all the other boards I tried (o.a Naish, MB, Gong, Starboard,JP).
They are light, tough and have imo a great rocker+ volume distribution. imo Pretty awesome boards.
