It will be interesting to see how competitive the Phantasm wing foils will be:

It looks like a great setup. I'm interested in the PTM 730, looks like a rocket. Mast selection looks great as well. I'm going to look into Phantasm adapter for the project cedarus.

Video on the PTM 730:

Video on the mast selection:

I've seen a few riders out on the 926 and it looks solid and fast. They all seem to love it.

I do find the naming and categories for the foils a little confusing.

The sales strategy for buying the "lower" AKA the foil, fuse, stab as a package and the mast as a separate selection is a great idea.
Also the idea the foil is perfectly tuned out of the box is appealing to many riders. No shimming this and that other then mast placement is really appealing especially with all the different options and opinions on how to rig a foil with other brands like Armstrong for example.
Many people don't want or care about these options and just want to have a perfect top line foil out of the box.
For most of us reading this it's obviously not the case and will be chopping and shimming this thing in no time.

These foils won't be cheap! What's nice is the ability to use the old hover glide masts with the new lower packages and that there are new aluminium masts offered along with the carbon ones. There should be some savings for those who already have one or two hover glide masts or are happy with the new aluminium ones rather than the carbon. Both the 730 and 1001 foils look interesting for winging -- relatively HA so there should be some really good pump and glide.

Yes. Its good out of the box. No need to tune. But, you can ;-)
I got myself the new smaller 325 tail and love it! It makes the PTM 926 much more reactive and faster. Plus I wanted to try a shorter mast with it so I took the 82 aluminum. Great combo! Cant wait to try the 1001 and 730.

The following are the aspect ratios of the PTM 1001, 926 and 730 respectively -- 8.9:1, 6.8:1 and 8.0:1. To put this into context I believe the Armstrong 1125 has an aspect ratio of 9.9:1 and the SaabFoil (Moses) W1000 has an aspect ratio of 10:1.

Is there an adapter for the old Hover Glide masts? I ask because the new aluminum masts meant for the Phantasms have a completely different attachment at the bottom than the Hover Glide masts.

tl;dr yes there is an adaptor for using Hover Glide aluminum masts w/ Phantasm Lowers.

AFAIK, the Hover Glide and Phantasm standard aluminum masts are the same aside from graphics. Even the Phantasm standard aluminum mast, you need to bolt on the adaptor to use the Phantasm lowers.

The Phantasm Wide Aluminum masts are different and have an adaptor that has a section that inserts inside the wide aluminum mast. This alu setup looks pretty awesome but will be priced several hundred dollars more than the HG mast.

Thank you Foilthegreats! It's nice they are providing an upgrade path for those on the Hover Glide hardware This complicates the decision to go to a Quantum though!

I have not tried the phantasm but have the quantum 100 for winging. It is terrific and big upgrade in performance for me over the infinity 84 and 99. Much more glide, speed and easier to stop from breaching riding swell.
