I started wing foiling on a 4m Wasp v1 when they first became available in Australia and when the Armstrong a wings became available i purchased a 4.5. When the wasp V2 came out I also purchased a 4m which is my current daily rider.
Now the a wing is very powerful and pumps well along with great handles and handling. Overall it was a good step up from the wasp v1. Unfortunately the weight was heavy. The wasp v2 seems to pump stronger and is nice and light while handling very nice and an overall step up from the a wing. The flagging is excellent on on the wasp v2.
Today I flew the wasp v1 for the first time since the v2 came out. It is surprising just how much better the v2 performs in every aspect. Pumping and power are improved as expected but the way the V2 drives forward with less pull on the arms is very impressive. So now i am looking for a 3m and can't help but wonder if the large performance improvements i have experienced so far with these wings can be repeated by trying another brand that has been released since the wasp V2.
I am happy to just get the wasp V2 but it would be interesting to hear from wingers with experience in the a wing or the wasp v2 who have tried a few other brands.
Worth mentioning also is that i was anti windows and didnt realize i was using them so much till i got back on the wasp V1.
Any experiences appreciated.

Tried both the WASP V1 and V2, and now ride F-One Strike, If you like the lightness in the hands, try the strike! Its even higher on the scale of "drives forward with less pull on the arms". I'm supported by the F-One / Ozone importer in my country, so between those two brands I'm not biased ;).
I've tried the Strike and own a quiver of Wasp V2s. Both are wonderful. I think the Strike feels lighter and is more balanced when depowered on a wave. The Wasp is faster and has more power. The Wasp construction feels stronger but that is totally subjective. You can't go wrong with either.
