I have that board. At 84kg I can use it in all conditions. Performance wise it is good. The drop-box foil system is very practical. The boards are not durable and ding easily, especially with hard handle North wings.

Im 85kg, beginner/intermediate and really like the seek 5'1 98L.
Enough float for small lakes and gusty winds. Small enough for small waves and downwinders.

+Stable
+Short
+Deck concave
+Does not stick to the water. Early release.
Liked this board better then a JP X-Foil 110l, better then a MB Boards Albatros 98l, and better then Groove G-Fuerte 100l
Touchdowns softer, faster release of the water, more stable, feels smaller.
+Colored deck. You know where to put your feet if strapless

Could be better:
-Fragile, dings
-Foilbox t-nuts get stuck after some time. Got a board replacement already but again t-nuts are stuck in the boxes
-Weight, should be 1 kg less, some swing weight.
-North v footstraps, to small, feet hurt after a while.

Really need the volume for the small lakes and gusty winds. But for coast and bigger lakes i might try a version smaller soon.

Hi, any opinion about new seek v3 2024 model ? For me mainly at size 4"10 it looks more or less same as last year.

I have the '23 5.1 98L also. Very nice board. I use it in all conditions. Might pick up the new 88L sometime...
What I don't like is the board is very fragile...

Any chance someone could answer the original question - how much does 5'1 Seek weight? I'm trying to compare it to Starboard Litetech but North doesn't give the mass stats :( the starboard is 7.4kg which sounds a bit heavy to me but it's significantly cheaper

The Seek 98L 5'1 is ~7.1KG

It is heavy due to to the several straps inserts. I found it a pretty sturdy board. No dings despite pretty heavy usage.
Only the paint can get some scratches here and there.
