Hi Looking to replace my current Swing v4 (5.5, 4.5, 3.5) - wave winging and blasting when flat.
I am still weighing up a quiver of new f-one (Strike or Swing) or new Ozone Flux or Army
- Any real world reports on the new Army XPS mk ii? Whats the low end like?
- Also wondering if i should mix n match ie ozone flux in the bigger size eg 5.5 or 6.0 as its more freeride, then the 4.5 & 3.5 (or 5.0 and 4.0) in a more "wavey" option.
- F-one largest is 5.5 but Army do a 6m but not sure what the bigger xps are like?- Ozone sizing a bit funky - 3.6m / 4.3m / 5m / 5.5m / 6m...so you go 6m, then 5m then massive jump to 3.6? Or 5.5, 4.3, 3.6...but miss out on larger size
PS
im 195lb, 86kg, riding only F-one rocket S 70 that i love...but does need some power to get up - so i often ride 0.5m bigger? i tried a f-one midlength (95) and thought it (or 105) would be just what i needed as a companion but wasnt that impressed as all the ML feel thick compared to my less deep rocket s that im so used to.....but obv compromises bottom end and ease of getting on foil
PPS
not interested in parawing before anyone chimes in with that!

I've systematically replaced all my F One Strikes (bar the 8M CWC) with PPC M1s
I now have a 4M M1, 5M M1 and recently acquired a 6M M1-X
I still have a near new F One Swing 2.8 which was very cheap (run out stock) and is perfectly good for those 20knot plus days.
I reckon I could drop the 5M M1 out of the quiver easily and get by with just the PPC 6M and 4M as the 6M handles being overpowered really well.
Read the user reviews on the PPC wings and its fairly unanimous that they are "a good thing" and most videos of Gwen Le Tutour have him riding a PPC M1
I've been lucky and managed to buy my PPCs as ex-demo wings saving considerable money, but if I had to buy new I wouldn't hesitate as they seem like they will last several seasons due to their robust construction and I can't see me needing to replace them unless something "game changing" appears in the market(ing) :-)
I was previously on the v1 Flux 5.7 and 4.3 and flow 3m. That spacing worked pretty well for me and the 4.3 got a lot of use. That said, while I loved the 4.3 flux and 3m flow I really didn't like the 5.7 flux. I haven't done measurements or anything, but it just felt huge in my hands (heavy and big). I'm sure v2 is improved, but it just goes to show that if you like one size of a wing, it doesn't mean you are going to like them all and the 5.7 v1 was kind of a dog.
Also, I found the Flux has a very large wind range, so spacing doesn't need to be super tight.
And before anyone chimes in saying all big wings are dogs, I actually really like my 5.5m Aura X2.
