The 5' 2" 100 litre board looks interesting to me -- short with lots of volume and should handle a broad wind range. Very radical bottom on these boards.

I like the look of the Starboard also just not to sure/happy about the weight:-)
Take a look at their "TakeOff" model. I find it much more appealing for winging.
Didnt know they had that in the lineup, looks more appealing to me too. Having both models there kinda confuses me though, especially because they have no clear separation in inteded use(rs) stated on the website.

The "Take Off" does look better - if you can find in Australia?:-)
I had their 2021 6'7" model. I bought the board sight unseen because I've been a Starboard customer for years and trusted them to make quality boards with functional features. I even got the Starboard foil system and the Airrush wing. Overall I was very disappointed with their very poor execution and ended up selling everything but the wing. It's clear they didn't have wingers on their wingboard design team. That board was HEAVY with a tiny 3 finger handle.! I still have tennis elbow from doing the walk of shame with that thing! The whole thing was so poorly done. Looks like they made significant changes to their 2022 line (basically an admission that their 2021 WingBoard line was a mistake).
The 2022 models would be state of the art, last year. All those funky shapes on the bottom = increased surface area = increased drag. The current understanding is that a totally flat bottom and no tail rocker is faster for take off. The rails look too short and too far back, even all the way forward will only get your mast about 1/3 the way up, not going to be enough for HA wings. Just take a look at Armstrong's FG boards and see how far forward the rails go.
Not sure about cost, sounded like the video guy stated 1800 euros? for the "cheap" version? May be he said 1080, then 1700 for the carbon? either way, that is a lot of money for an outdated board. Sorry to be so harsh, but Starboard burned up all their good will with that horrible 2021 wingboard. (I have a garage full of Starboard SUP's for racing, surfing and cruising).

2021- 4"6 x 69L is a weapon. Not sure what size you rode, I can see some of the larger boards sucking a bit, but for a little board, loved it to bits. I got mine new for $1100, and it replaced my 6" x 90L immediately. Never missed the bigger board and have enjoyed every session with it.
I'm swapping now to a 3"10 x 32L but that being said, the starboard will remain in my quiver for light days.
Well they take out the prize for ugliest looking wing board for 2022. Way too much going on with the bottom shape. Totally not needed. Wide nose will be a pig when turning and hitting water. For a global leading brand they seem to have missed the mark on wing boards. They could also do with a decent graphic designer IMO. I still have a vintage 14' Ace in my shed, best downwind board ever.
I've got the 5'8 2021 Wingboard in the cheaper lite tech construction. It's got a reasonably complex bottom shape, bit different to the 2022. It's been a fantastic board, great value, unmarked after literally thousands of k of winging. Seems to get up as well as pretty much any board out there and behave really well shlogging in light wind. Honestly can't fault it. Also have the 'classic' brushed carbon 14' Ace from 2013! Never selling that one ![]()

Is that the 110 L? If so have you tried sup foiling it?
No it's the 88 litre, 5'8 x 25". I have tried sup foiling it and it's fine - but I'm only 64kg so it's kinda cheating!
Interesting comparison with the more sup focused option:
Tucker seemed to like last years board as well. I've got the 2022 4'9 coming any day and can't wait ...
I picked up the 2022 brand new to learn on (got the 5'2" version I'm 85Kgs) and it was only $1150 AUD new. The handle underneath has gotten a lot bigger as my mate has the year before version. The construction feels good and it's really easy to pump to pop up, however, the decals on do scratch easy.
Overall, it's a solid light board and it was really cheap.
