Hello,
First of all, Happy new year. Sorry for my english I speak french but there is many informations in this forum.
I kite and race paddle for few years. Just begin foil and I can fly behind a boat but not very long distance with fanatic HA1500 foil.
I just bought a Naish foil HA1800 but the dealer sell me with the stab 320 (no HA) because de HA310 is not available.
My question : is it better for a beginner to learn on a HA1800 with stab 320 or stab HA280 ? Will the HA 280 match with HA1800 ? Or should I send back the foil ?
Thanks
I've got the 1800 HA and have played around w changing rear stab's ......because we can't help it, it's what we do. ??
It'll work just fine, it's actually more stable but you do feel a loss of nervousness. It def feels faster w the HA stab.
In the end of all my playing around, I realized they "Naish" know what they are doing w their
Pairings of foils. ;)
It will be fine especially if you're a learner IMO.. A friend of mine is using the HA1800 front with the non HA rear and he keeps raving how much he likes that set up.
I've tried both with my HA1800 and although I didn't notice a big difference the HA tail did feel slightly faster but you will find the HA front wing is so fast making learning harder so a slight slowing and a slightly more stable tail should be good for you.
Rear tails are not that expensive and can be bought later once you've gone through the learning stage if you really want that extra bit of speed.
Thanks. I will learn with a non HA stab for more stability.
Is there a big difference between HA310 and HA280 for a beginner ?

I have both and IMO.. no.. there is not a big difference..
I use the smaller one with my HA1400 foil.
