Anyone using the Naish 80 cm fuse on their wing foil set up? I am on a Slingshot set up now with the long switch fuse (78 cm) and am considering switch to Naish foils but read the the standard complete Naish set up uses 64 cm fuselages. Any issues with using the 80 cm that is described as being described for wind foils?

Firstly, the 80cm fuselage is for windfoil so the mast sits further back on the fuselage. This is due to the tracks or Tuttle box on a windfoil board being mounted further aft. Not to say it won't work but you might find you can't move the plate mount far enough aft on a standard wing board.
I too would like a longer fuselage from Naish, the higher speeds of the smaller HA wings become twitchy at high speeds nearing 20 knots on the 64 cm. I currently run the HA1040 on the 64cm, it's great but for flat water blasting a longer fuselage would be nice. The new S26 kit is great, the HA1240 is my go to wing I use in all conditions.

Hi Bruuka,
I've been using the Naish 80cm fuse and have found it to be more stable than the 65 cm. I am able to get it set up for windfoiling and wingfoiling on the Naish boards that I have.
I think the 80cm fuse moves the front foil further forwards by a few cm, but that can be offset by moving the foil mast back a bit.

Thanks for the info. May I ask how much you weigh? Wondering if the HA 1240 would be enough lift for me in 12-20 knot winds since I am 95 kg.

I'm 80 kg so you might be better with the HA1400. The HA wings have a lot of lift compared to a similar area LA wing so you can get away with less area and less drag.
Thanks Marty for the info on the 80cm for wingfoil. I have a Naish 95ltr so good to know it is usable with the windfoil fuselage. I have the HA914 on order, it should be sweet on the 80cm

I'm using the 80cm fuse with the jetfoil 2000 and I think it's a 450 rear stab. Im also on the 75cm mast. I weigh 70kg. It gets me up in around 10 knots.
I'm using the Naish 125 hover. I find my front foot is right on the footstrap holes with the mast in the rearmost position. So not much room for adjustment, but it works for me. With the standard 65 cm fuse, I can move the foil mast forwards a bit more or can move my body back on the board a little.
I also have an Axis 900 which is 1277cm2 and I've found I require about 13+ knots to get that running. Keep in mind I'm a muppet. I'm not sure of the performance differences between the Axis 900 and the Naish 1240. Thinking they are probably similar??
I think JB has posted some pretty amazing vids of him getting going with small area HA Naish front foils and small wings (4m?) in around 10 knots. His take on it is if you can get enough pump speed, these smaller area but highly efficient front foils have low resistance so once you get them going, they rip along. My technique at present isn't compatible with that technique, but I'm working on it.

I use the 80 cm for light wind downwinders w a Naish Ultra Carbon Board, It works just fine. Placement is about 2/3 of the way back from center. Whereas. When I use the 64 it's 2/3 forward of the center of the track.
It's def, more fore/aft stable but the single biggest difference is the pump. Shallower, quick, pumps works best on the 80, super efficient. On the 64 I pump slightly deeper.
80 is slightly better upwind, 64 turns slightly tighter. I also like to run the smaller HA rear wing w the 80, on the 2140 or 1240. Have a blast.
