Got the ART Pro 1201 and got to take it out for a short run in light winds today. This thing rocks! I saw in other posts it doesn't take off as fast as the 1050hps but that wasn't my experience, it got up as well if not a little bit better in the light winds.

Once up thing delivered a super smooth, fun ride and felt a lot faster than it had any right to be. Great to turn down some small swell and see how long I could pump the foil. It turned better than I thought it would as well, not as good as the 1050 but it did pretty good for a foil of its size.

I did find you had to commit to your turns given the lift but not at all difficult to control, just needed to commit to the turn, thing is a ridiculous amount of fun.

My set up is an 82HM mast, Crazy Short Advanced Fuse, 375 Progressive stab, 88ltr Armstrong FG. I'm 97Kgs.

Definitely add to your list if you're looking for light wind fun and glide!

Have you foiled the 1099 ART?
If so how does jybing compare to the 1201?

I haven't compared between the two, I have a 999 but you can't really compare given the difference in size. A friend of mine is using the 1099 and getting the 1201, I'll try and get some info from him.

I tried it briefly and for some reason it was incredibly slow, especially upwind

Noticed it has a very low stall speed which will appeal to non wingers.
