Wondering if anyone has any experience wingfoiling with the Moses W1000? Particularly interested in how it goes riding swell. Upsides, downsides of such a high aspect wing? Cheers

Here's a comparison of the Moses W1000 vs. the F-One Phantom -- not sure it's any help but an interesting read nonetheless.

I have Moses W1000, 1100, 873, 790 and 683 with stabs 483, 420 and 400.
While that's a bit of a collection I am only an average foiler.
My experience is only in Lake swells however in 25 to 30kn wind swells are a lot of fun.
Out of the front wings the 1100 is the easiest however the 873 is more manouravable.
The W1000 is smooth, fast , whistles and requires more of a yaw technique to turn than carve. It requires a lot of board speed to get up on the foil, try to pump up to early will result in porpoising. Once up on the foil its fantastic with excellent glide.
Currently for Windwing I have consistently been using the 790 with the 400 stab which is a good balance between the W1000 and the 1100.
Waiting to hear about the soon to be released 950.

Wat do you weight warwickl and how do you rate the speed of the 790? I have an Gofoil M200 and Iwa and a bit of a problem that the swell is often too slow to carry my 95kg with the IWA so I grab the M200 but that one is rather slow and creates too much lift when the swell become waves.

I,m looking at Moses but can,t really see how to place them to lets say GF wings in range.

My two buddies who weigh much less than I do, ride the 1100. They are in the 65 kg range. I was surprised as the surface area is not that different from my 2400 Armstrong. At my locale, winds are not that strong so often have to go big.

in the Netherlands (Europe) winging at the Northsea we are blessed with everything from very light to galeforce winds often with windwaves, seldom with proper long distance swell. (except this morning, no wind and shoudler high waves Even with the 2degree air temp it was a blast.

76kg.
I mostly ride between 22 to 26 kph on all my wings however the difference is in wind strength.
The 790 is capable of much more than 30kph however takes a bit of pumping to get up on the foil similar to the W1000.
The 790 is easiest to jybe.
The W1000 is excellent due to very low drag.
The 1100 is best in very light wind with a 6m windwing.
Its a bit like golf, one has more than one club in their bag/quiver.

How do you mount the mast with W1000 S399/400, all the way forward?

On the newer masts, they have additional holes drilled in the mast plate so that it can be mounted even further forward.
