I'm currently winging on an infinity 84 and time code 68. Great foils but wondering if the Moses 1100 will get me up earlier and be faster. Anyone have any experience with comparing slingshot to Moses (or slingshot to other winging foils)

I have winged both the 1100 and infinity 99 in the same session and felt the i99 got going earlier and the 1100 felt stiffer going upwind. (Moses was carbon mast so naturally is stiffer)

How do you like the i99 for winging in general?

I ordered the Phantasm 926 Wingfoil which has a quilte small HA Wing.
So i convinced myself that i need a bigger wing too and ordered the 928 additionally

The 928 is an evolution of the i99, according to the SS brochure.

You may also compare the i99 to the i84 or Moses 873 which i currently use.
Thank you.

Anyone have a link to the new slingshot brochure?

Also are the new slingshot wings compatible with the existing fuse etc?

Thanks CoreAS. Any sense of how the 1100 Moses compares to the 84 infinity?

The i99 is perfect wing for the learning on and super light winds (see video) it doesn't turn very well but that's kinda expected given its 2400cm

I have the phantasm 926 and 730/928 wings ordered as well, like you said its a polished version of the i99. Looking forward to testing them all, sounds like you will have the same fun.

My go to for winging is the i84 I use it in 14-30+ knots, not the fastest but super comfortable in transitions and when a big gust comes its very predictable.

The day I tested the i99 and 1100 was super flukey 8-15 knots so I didn't have the chance to test the i84 and 1100 but from using the i84 quite a bit in the past 2 years it is a very forgiving wing and at my weight of 88kg I can foil in 15+ all day long.

i used the i99 almost exclusively for winging for many months when I started. Also used the i84 but preferred the i99. Then really liked the i76 w/ long fuse and small rear (windsurf glider).

Then switched to the Fanatic HA 1750. For me, that is one of the nicest foils for easy, recreational winging. It lifts very easily and predictably and has a really big range. It covered about 90% of the range the combo of i99 and i76 did. One thing missing was the great carving turn of the i76, but it did have all the low end of the i99 and much more speed, glide, and efficiency. I also have the 1500 wingset for this, and this is my girlfriend's go-to foil. The Fanatic w/ the long 80cm fuse is very pitch stable... tacking on it was like cheating. The foil is not light (a bit lighter than Slingshot), but it is well made and goes together very easily and sensibly. Only problem w/ the Fanatic besides weight is that it is generally not available. I ordered a lot of these for first time wing foil buyers as I believe it to be a really good foil to learn on and progress and be happy with for a long time. Still waiting for them to come in.

Moses 790 is like a nicer version of the i76. Moses foils are generally a little leaner than SS and the stuff is well made. I prefer the more efficient Moses and Fanatic foils to the Slingshots. Also, if weight is an issue for you, SS is the heaviest.

Low-end up and go is really affected by technique, gear, and gust potential. More experienced wingers can get going w/ good technique as long as there is a good gust every once in awhile. If those never happen though, then you need more power from other sources i.e. your foil or wing.

For me, the W1100 gets going easier than the i99. My neighbor also has the same experience. I've spoken to people who have the opposite experience, so it might come down to gear matching, setup, and/or experience.

I mostly foil on the W1000/S400/647 but we have good wind here. If the wind is lighter, then a larger +15l board is the first thing I change to. If that doesn't work then I'll get a bigger wing and probably go w/ the Fanatic foil or the W950/S483/710

While up and foiling, I prefer the efficiency of the other foils to the Slingshot i99 and i84. I do still enjoy the i76 although I do not own one anymore.

I hear good things about the HA Phantasm FWing 924 from my friend who rode the protos in Baja. Excited to try that one too.

Some food for thought..... Slingshot has just released the Quantium100 it's a high aspect wing. Aimed at the pump\winging world. Dealers have the hype sheet and order forms as of Monday just gone, and the need to order ASAP so if you want to keep your Hover Glide system and put the Q100 your set. Grant

Which of the Phantasm wings is comparable to the Moses 1100?
The SS 926 should be more like the Moses 950?

Moses 950 is 1300 sq cm not 1600 as on their site.
I have one and doing the calculation by both SAB specs and my actual measurements 1300 is about right.
Having said that the performance for me windwing is superb. It 90% replaces W1000, 790 and 1100 but need them all occasionally.

Ok, so these wings are very close:
Phantasm 926 = Moses 950

But is the Phan. 928 = Moses 1100 or are there other wings in the Phantasm Line, that are closer to the 1100?
