Got an Ensis 6.2m Score and I think the valve is called Max Flow, which pops when the cap is unscrewed as air has leaked past the valve diaphragm. I've cleaned valve but it still happens and a friend with three Ensis now has that on his wings. Anyone else get this and know how to stop it?
Gets to be a problem as the pressure under the cap makes it hard to unscrew. There are two washers on the cap so air doesn't leak past that, except it is hard to properly engage the thread so can screw on a bit lob sided and air then leaks out. Threads on valve and cap do not look crossed.

I have an Ensis 4.5 wing and it behaves the same, but this pop when unscrewing is just a small pop and I don't find it hard to unscrew the cap. My wing stays pumped up for a week or more sometimes and I don't feel it loses a noticeable amount of air.

So, I would just ignore this ;)

That is normal and no air is leaking.

Contact me at Foilsport.
I am the Ensis Australia distributor I can run you through a few things to check.
The wing should never loose pressure.

Thanks for the offer but I am in UK. I cleaned surface of valve flap and where it sits but that didn't help.

I have 2 scores and exactly the same happens to me. I put Vaseline on O ring, helped ease in to valve. And careful when tightening cap down not to cross thread. a small amount air must leak past valve as causes the pop. Never had an issue of going soft, I think it's just normal. UK based.

Thanks. I worry about grease as sand always ends up stuck in it, so tried spit and that worked (urgh).
