I just bought a New kalama k3 for light winds great board I got going in 10 to 12knts today and the touch downs are super smooth I got it from Dylan at Newcastle sup awesome guy and great to deal with thanks Cameron and hilly for your advice

Awesome light wind setup there. You could get a coil leash (waist is best) to get the leash out of the water to help release off the water. You might get up in less wind ![]()
Hi Mate read an article where some one lost there complete foil set up the tape covers a bit is string to the leg rope in case something happened to the mast track

Haha I have run into reef very hard and have not managed to rip one out. The construction is first rate.
I'm absolutely loving my 5'9" more and more each time I use it. I was looking at it from the front, end on the other day and it really is shaped like an orange pip or a seed where you can imagine pinching the narrow end between your forefinger and thumb and it will just shoot forward, which is exactly what it does when you put some wind pressure in your wing and pop the nose up and out of the water.

I lost a foil with a Naish failure. I have kiteline to do the same thing but I tie it between the two threaded holes in Axis mast plate, just clip it to leash. I made a similar shape and so impressed with how good they are as a light wind board.
For light wind I use a Fanatic Bee, 7ft 8in 120l.
I get foiling with Axis ART pro 951 and 360 skinny rear wing starting from a solid 11kn breeze on Lake water. No down sides for me ![]()
Coming from windsurfing it is incredible how little wind you need for wing foiling and how high they point up wind ![]()
Its even more noticeable whenever you switch back and feel how extremely draggy and ineffici?nt wavesailing gear is. Once in a while I still try it for old times sake, but almost every time its a disapointment and wished I grabbed the wingfoil gear.

Hi Mate have you also noticed since foiling is popular it is harder to sell second hand windsurfing gear and its value has plummeted
