No, not spamming. Just giving an intro. I'd share my photos/vids of winging here on Maui for the past couple years but I have to get past the newbie period. Anyone need front line winger info from those that design here on Maui I'd be happy to share. I see alot of prototypes on the water before they go into production..

Welcome! Post your pics and videos, more more more.

You rode the new GoFoil foils yet? Slight improvement, game changer, or something in between?

GoFoil is late into the wing game. Have you used theirs yet? How do they compare in the spectrum of quality among brands and various generations? Seems like some new entrants skipped the problematic early gen stages and jumped right in with quality.

Hey Juan, I've not ridden the new step wings yet, but many of my friends here have them and are selling their NL's. Alex Aguerra has been on the mainland for weeks now and when he gets back I'll have more info as I can demo. But from what I hear, they're not as fast as the NL's, but more forgiving when tips breach on turns.

Yes, GoFoil is late in the wing game, I tried them and not my favorite. Wing design is moving pretty quick right now here on Maui. What I've seen that I like right now are the new Cabrinha and Naish Matador. They look tight and have solid power.

I also hear of new material coming for the canopies that are stronger and hopefully give a longer life.

Welcome!
I too have had a peak at some upcoming canopy changes. Things are going to be getting interesting in the next few seasons! Exciting times.

Thanks 808. Dare to dream for new gf foils :-)

New canopy material...stronger the better. I kited first, similar technology but these wings take way more of a beating. Pretty much inevitable they will get destroyed. I am on the ocean Rodeo aluula now, impressed with the stronger leading edge material. Add in a better canopy too, and then we're rocking

You mentioned Cabrinha prototypes... What have you seen out there? Any new materials from them? Whats the "Mantis v2" looking like in person?

The new Mantis are looking very tight and stiff. Haven't tried one yet, I'm friends with one of their team riders and he's offered to let me borrow. I'll take him up and let you know once I've tried. I'd consider getting one if I needed a new wing, they look pretty good. Didn't notice new materials.

Also saw some new Naish protos a couple days ago, tiny sizes looked like 2-2.5M that were tight as well.

Yea I b'tched and moaned long enough to get a foil section on that site but it didn't really get that much action. Not sure how I ended up here but it looks like more traffic and topics.

Ive seen them up close over the late summer. One of KT's test pilots I see often out at Kuau where I wing sometimes and they look pretty good I guess. Haven't tried one yet as they were still tweaking things before he'd let me try. I also heard KT went into production for dedicated wing boards that will hit the stores soon as well. I don't have any info on shape/design. Will let you know if I hear.
