Good video DJ. It was a bit of a change to have some hot weather during this La Nina summer. Athough it was a typical Melbourne northerly - up and down.

Another good vid DJ, what size wing are you using? and do you think the other wingers on about the same size wing?

I currently use a 4.6 Naish, and I feel like i have to wait til the winds strong to bother going out, by which stage the chops/swell is up and makes it harder. I was thinking of going a 6m to open up my range a bit and allow me to go out when its not so rough

Thanks.. I was using a 6m wing.. June was using a 3.3 and Andrew a 4.5.. Others were on 5s..

I think your wing size varies according to your weight and your ability to pump up onto the foil..

I need gusts in the 16-18 knot range to get up with my 4.6 wing.

Great vid....talk about Paradise.
I have 4.6, 5.2, and 6.
The 5.2 is magic.
6.0 catches wing tip constantly, feels heavy, and barely more power than 5.2.
4.6 is a dream, but needs wind I can slalom sail powered to have fun.

Hi and thanks.. I'm 6'4" and just under 100 kgs.

My board is the 125 ltr Hover .. (6'4"x 31")

My foil is the Naish HA 1800 with an 85cm mast.

PM me if you'd like to try it out for floatation and stability.

I'm also running the S25 Hover with an 85cm mast but with a 1400 wing. At 92kgs it's more than enough volume and the wing gets me up and going well. I've been wing foiling for all of 3 weeks and already feel that I probably should have gone for a smaller board.

You sometimes appreciate the bigger board if you're a long way out and have that dreaded unexpected wind drop-out leaving you to slog your way back in..
