I rode the first generation Cabrinha Code in August of last year. I really liked it but decided not to buy thinking that the new generation would be out shortly. Slow forward to now and it is finally coming out. There's no chance to demo where I am. I'd appreciate input from anyone who has ridden the new Code and has thoughts/pros/cons and comparison to first gen Code or other wing boards. Many thanks.

Hi
I had no experience on the V1 but the V2 is great, just had a ride yesterday [and maybe tomorrow again]
I can say it has a good balance when on your knees and come out of the water very easily
it looks strong & durable.
I want to try it again before I decide to buy.

Just had first session on our new V2, very nice, good balance, releases early with good glide, feels nice and slippery through the water to get a bit of forward momentum, obviously jumps easily, feels stronger than than the V1, a definite upgrade, very pleased!!

Lucky bugger. How does the size compare to last years model? My 4'8 actually measures 4'6, I'm hoping this year the 4'8 is really 4'8

We have a code V1 5'0 x25" 78liter , it is actually a 4'10...
68yo 86kg, stiff hips and back, I could use a few more liters and a bit more length
I am considering getting a V2 5'2 x24' 86liter , a bit longer, a bit narrower and a few more liters sounds good.
Would like to know the real length and the weight before I order so if anyone has the 5'2 please measure...

Great to hear, my current '22 4'8 (4'6) feels a bit short at times when it's light. 2" and a couple of extra litres is just what the doctor ordered, getting the 4'5 Link for the windy days

Thanks , according to Cabrinha the 4'11 should be about 6 kg and the 5'2 6,57 kg (Tolerances may vary)
I was hoping to get a lighter board..

Could you please weigh yours ?
