I currently use fanatic footstraps that is not very well designed. No matter how loose you set them, the neopren covering is still tight and makes coming in and out of them with booties cumbersome.
I'm looking for something like the straps on kiteboards where they keep the shape after you remove your foot, with no elasticity.
I like that the fanatics grip my feet well with booties and keep their shape. I have basicly never lost the board while jumping.
However they are so beefy and soak up the water like sponges, easily adding 500g weight at your feet.
I recently got the Dakine Contours and they look pretty good. I haven't used them yet but they look like they'll be good at retaining their shape.
Footstraps, specially for winging, are a real "personal taste" kinda thing. At the moment I don't particularly care for windsurfing style straps for winging. This is what the Fanatic boards come with. Even in kiting, we more or less evolved from those... though I'm happy windsurfing in them still. I tried the FFB straps the other day, but I think I'm only going to run those at the back. First, they are too expensive and second, I like how soft they are to stand on, but I really only need to stand on the rear one sometimes. At the moment, it appears North has the best strap options... I have a set of there free foil straps coming in, for the front, and I'll keep the FFB at the back. That said, I do want to try Dakine Countours and Dakine Vemo Primo.
